Dane and I did Week 4 Day 3 on Sunday evening. It was in the low 80′s and there was a really nice breeze. We remembered bug spray this time and headed to our usual spot.
This was our last day of Week 4! Next week is the dreaded Week 5 that ends with a 20 minute run. I’m not going to let it psych me out. I did it before and I’ll do it again.
Day 3 was much better than Day 2. I felt like my breathing was a lot more in control and even though I was soaked in sweat, it didn’t feel like we were running in an oven. My calves also felt a little less tight than they normally do.
Almost 500 calories burned. Not bad since I really wanted to take a nap on the couch instead of running.
It looks like we’re matching but my tank top is actually purple. Turns out it’s a lot darker when it’s soaked in sweat. :)
My sister dropped her iPhone in coffee last weekend, so she was forced to go back to using her old phone until she’s due for an upgrade. (next month) She was looking through her old pictures and came across a couple of me from my sister Casey’s baby shower in March 2011.
This was right around the same time I decided to participate in a Biggest Loser contest and found out I was just over 200 lbs.
I knew I was overweight but I really didn’t see myself looking like that. This was just a couple of months after Dane and I started dating.
Here’s another one. I look just as pregnant as my sister.
Here’s a side by side with a picture I took last week.
So, even though I’m hard on myself and I get down on myself when I’ve flubbed up, I need to realize that I’ve come a long way and made some awesome changes.
Now onto the next phase. Kim has been working out with a trainer for about 8 weeks and I’ve decided to give it a go myself. I’ve never worked out with a trainer, so I’m a little bit nervous but also excited to try something new and get to my goal! My first workout is tonight, so I’ll keep you posted.
