Good Morning! After getting off track and losing that awesome feeling we had after our first Whole30, we decided to take on Round 2 in June. This time was a little different than last because we already had most of the staples in the house and we never started buying food that we didn’t buy during Whole30.
Salmon cake using this recipe, avocado and watermelon. Kind of a strange combination but it was good..and different. Dane and I are both getting sick of the same breakfast we ate for several months. I also had a cup of black coffee.
Dane made burgers on the stove and and a mix of zucchini, mushrooms, onions and green pepper.
We were invited to a friends house for a birthday party. During our first Whole30, we probably would’ve declined the invitation but this time I think we’ll try to be more social. We made these Bora Bora Fireballs and because I’ve been a horrible blogger lately, I totally forgot to take a picture of them. Sorry! I had a few of them dipped in Sunshine Sauce (I used almond butter instead of sunflower butter) and this plate of meat.
Overall, I think Day 1 was a success. Because I’ve been eating sugar like it’s my job lately, I thought I was going to be craving it all day but I didn’t and we even avoided birthday cake at the party. I spent some time going through my cookbooks planning out meals for the week.
