Happy Monday! It actually is a Happy Monday because I’m off today. Dane’s college roommate is in town with his family, so we’re going to Sea World with them. We ended up getting passes for the rest of the year when we went in February for my birthday.
We had a really nice Easter and hopefully you did, too.
Our day started with breakfast of course.
And then we started getting ready for our family to come over.
My dad brought the Easter Lily.
Instead of ham, we decided to make prime rib. I couldn’t find a ham that didn’t have a bunch of crap in it; not to mention, I don’t really like ham.
And brussels sprouts with BACON.
I told my family to bring anything they wanted so my sister brought ham, rolls and salad. I tried to get a a picture of the table but the brussels got cut off.
I forgot to take a picture of my plate but I had a slice of prime rib, brussels sprouts and the butternut squash along with a side salad. I did have one glass of red wine and it was delicious!
Because it was a holiday, I wanted to make a dessert. I found a recipe for Magic Brownie Bars on PaleOMG and thought they sounded perfect. How can you go wrong with a name like that?
They were a big hit!
Confession: I didn’t have enough unsweetened coconut so I had to go to the store and they were out of unsweetened!! I reluctantly bought the sweetened coconut – and I didn’t die.
This is my youngest sister Casey and Wrigley.
Her daughter, Sam.
Is this not the cutest Easter Bunny picture? I love how she’s holding his hands.
This is my middle sister, Tanya.
Wrigley thinks anything that comes into the house is for him, so he snuggled up a took a nap in the bag that Tanya brought.
As always, thank you to Dane for making a wonderful meal for everyone!
When everyone left, I was looking for something on Pinterest and somehow came across a tutorial for an app called Cocoppa. It allows you to change the look of your iPhone icons. I haven’t changed them all but I did spend a good amount of time working on this.
Cute, right? You can find the tutorial here.
