I apologize in advance for the first part of this post being geared toward the ladies. If you’re a man, consider yourself warned. :)
The first couple of days leading up to and first couple days of TOM have historically been a bad time for me. I always knew when it was on it’s way because I would be extremely moody and would get angry over something that normally wouldn’t bother me. Besides my attitude being out of control, I would get extremely bloated and my appetite would increase drastically. I would never feel satiated after a meal and my cravings always revolved around chocolate or something sweet.
When TOM finally arrived the first couple of days were horrible. It was extremely heavy, to the point where I was concerned about standing up. Not only that but I had cramps that had me doubled over in pain. I thought some of these symptoms would subside after my surgery in November but they didn’t.
All of that to say that I got TOM yesterday. I knew it was coming soon according to my calendar but I didn’t feel any of the symptoms that I listed above. Not only did I not physically feel bad, I didn’t sit at work and dream about chocolate all day long. Awesome.

Breakfast
I apologize for the blurry picture.
Eggs scrambled with green peppers, onions and mushrooms. Roasted sweet potato, avocado and a mix of blueberries and strawberries.
Lunch
Leftover crockpot salsa chicken and broccoli. I also had a handful of almonds.
I met up with Kim and Teri at the gym after work. We did a little bit of cardio, upper body and arms.
Dinner
Red pepper stuffed with ground beef, garlic, onion, tomatoes and spices. Zucchini, squash & onions and beets.
I haven’t tried beets in a really long time. I remember my Grandma always serving them when I was little and the only one that liked them was my sister, Tanya. There are a lot of things I didn’t like when I was younger that I do like now, so I was a big girl and tried them. They weren’t bad at all. I ate about half of what you see on my plate and saved the rest for lunch.
These beets were canned but I do want to try them fresh. Any tips on preparing them?
After dinner Dane roasted up a couple of sweet potatoes to have on hand for breakfasts.
And I made some more homemade breakfast sausage.

Yes. I definitely think eating this way and reducing the inflammation in my body has made a difference.
