It’s Hump Day already and we’re past Day 9. I haven’t really been having many cravings in between meals, not even that afternoon sweet treat that I used to want every day. The one thing that is really putting me to the test this week is Girl Scout Cookies! Everyone around me seems to have them. At this point, they know not to offer me one but it hasn’t stopped them from chowing down right in front of me.
When we went to Sea World for my birthday a few weeks ago, we ended up getting passes for the remainder of the year. It was only a few dollars more to upgrade so we figured it would be worth it. The couple that we went with wants to go this Saturday to check out the Hall & Oates concert. I know that this would be a big challenge for us, especially because our friends would be drinking. I think I can be strong but I’m not so sure about Dane. :)
My daily e-mail talked about following the Whole30 program on vacation or out in a social situation.

Breakfast
I know our breakfasts typically look the same but they’re delicious, so I’m not complaining. This is eggs scrambled with shrimp, red peppers and mushrooms, roasted sweet potato, homemade breakfast sausage and berries. I loved the shrimp with the eggs! It was a nice change.
Lunch
My lunch was a combination of two leftover meals. Short ribs and stuffed cabbage. Not very pretty but delicious.
Dinner
Dane made a delicious stir fry using chicken, onions, cabbage, red peppers, mushrooms, celery, fish sauce and coconut aminos.

I bought the book Practical Paleo for my kindle after seeing it mentioned all over the place.
I didn’t get to read as much as I would have liked but here’s a little bit about Paleo.

Dinner looks yummy!! Social settings are so hard for me to stay on track, keep us posted if you think of anything brillian!
Thanks, Lauryn! For some reason your comment got caught up in my spam! :\
Breakfast doesn’t have to be breakfast food! There have been so many times where I’ve just eaten leftovers for breakfast. Love that book! The curry spice mix is so good!

You’re right! We’re definitely stuck in the “breakfast food” mindset. Need to start mixing it up.
