I woke up yesterday and opened up my Whole30 Day 3 e-mail and found this pretty amusing.
That about sums it up. :) I had another slight headache and felt like I could have gone back to bed with no problem.
Dane decided to change it up a little for breakfast.
2 fried eggs over sweet potato, mushroom, onion, pepper and homemade sausage hash along with strawberries and blueberries. I had my usual cup of coffee with coconut milk. I think I’m getting used to it.
Lunch doesn’t look extremely appetizing but it was good.
Leftover meatballs and mashed fauxtatoes (cauliflower).
I also had some cashews and 2 hard boiled eggs.
Last night was a softball night so Dane put some chicken in the crock pot and ended up shredding it. I found this recipe for Buffalo Chicken Chopped Salad and we decided to give it a try.
This doesn’t look like it was a lot of food but it was piled up. Once I spread it out it covered the entire plate and I actually didn’t even finish it all.
Dane even made the homemade mayo so we could have the Whole30 compliant ranch dressing! So good.
I stopped at the store on the way home yesterday for a few things. We needed eggs since we’ve been eating quite a few of them and I decided to give these a try.
Our Whole30 shopping list recommends eggs enriched with Omega 3.
Although our eating was on plan for the day we both felt pretty blah overall. The headache finally hit Dane and we both felt like we were lacking energy. We keep hearing the end is near so we’re thinking positive and looking forward to more energy. Besides that, we’re trying to mix things up a little to prevent from getting totally bored. So far we’ve been having eggs for breakfast every day but it’s recommended that we try different things and maybe have leftovers for your first meal. We’re supposed to think of it as Meals 1, 2 & 3 instead of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
That’s all I have for today. Day 3 down – 27 to go!

That salad does look really good!!
What recipe do you use for the sausage?
I’d like to try the sweet potato/mushroom/sausage for breakfast. I tried the Whole 30. I did it for 30 days although I fell off the wagon a few days. However…that was success for this carb-lovin’ girl!
Good luck!!!
