I’m feeling like I’m in a really good place this week, so I thought I’d do a little “note to self” for future reference.
Remember this feeling of accomplishment after a workout when your butt is planted on the couch and the thought of working out makes you want to throw a temper tantrum. I can’t remember ever regretting a workout.
Remember this 4:15am alarm means that you don’t have to go home after being gone for 11 hours to change and head to the gym. Your evenings are free if you get it out of the way in the morning or there’s even an opportunity for a bonus workout.
Remember this feeling of control that comes from being prepared with healthy snacks and a healthy lunch. Also, remember that feeling of shame you felt when you snuck into the break room and scarfed down a Snickers bar before anyone noticed.
Remember this isn’t a temporary thing. Just because you have a successful week, doesn’t mean everything can be undone next week. Consistency is something you continue to struggle with.
Remember this doesn’t make everything you ever enjoyed off limits. Certain things in moderation. Moderation is something else you’ve struggled with.
Remember this all or nothing mentality isn’t always the best way. If you only earned 2 AP’s today, it’s better than earning none.
