I feel like I’m finally getting back in my groove! I’ve been waking up every day thinking about what I’m going to do to move that day instead of coming up with ways to avoid it. It’s kinda funny that in the end, you’re only hurting yourself. All of the time and effort that goes into manipulating a plan and you’re the one being cheated.
Last week, I started doing a plank every day. I hadn’t done any kind of ab work since before my surgery in November. Wow, one plank will let you know just how weak your core is. I couldn’t believe how much I could feel it in my abs after only 2 days.
I’m up to a measly 1:13 but my goal is to improve a little every day.
Here is a picture of Kim and I planking last Friday at the gym.
Kim is a planking fool – her first one was over 2 minutes. :)
Last week I wrote about switching gyms and I’m happy to report that I’m loving it. Kim ended up joining, too and it sounds like another friend is interested , so between them and my sister, there will always be someone asking if I’m going to be there. I don’t think I mentioned in my previous post that I decided to go with the $10/month plan.
Another thing that’s keeping me motivated is the ActiveLink. When I’ve been sitting at my desk for awhile, I will make an effort to get up and walk around. Every day I’m motivated to see all of those lights pop up.
When I got home from The Color Run on Sunday, the house smelled amazing. I asked Dane if he could make this recipe that I found in one of my Weight Watchers cookbooks.
I just took a picture of the recipe in the book, so hopefully you can see it. You should be able to click on the image to enlarge it.
The tacos turned out great. We would definitely make this again.
*We added corn even though the recipe didn’t call for it.
I’ve been hearing a lot of people talk about frozen grapes recently. Dane loves grapes and usually picks up two bags whenever we go grocery shopping. I asked him to put some in the freezer when we got home from Publix on Saturday and I tried them on Sunday night with a little bit of Cool Whip.
Oh.my.goodness. This is definitely one of my new favorite treats. It’s so good!
Here’s another picture I found from The Color Run.

Way to go!
I was surprised to find that I didn’t like my grapes frozen. I seriously thought they’d be right up my alley!

Hey! I found you from Carrie’s blog.
I can’t do cold fruit either – I usually let it sit on my desk for a couple hours – weird!
Yep, planks are a bitch, but you’ll get better!

Good job with #plankaday challenge! I’m doing it too and I’m up to a minute (I started at an embarrassing 23 seconds!). I’m going to try the frozen grapes soon. That sounds really good with Cool Whip!
