ActiveLink Challenge Begins

Yesterday was the first day of my ActiveLink 12 Week Challenge.  One of the things I really like about it is how small it is.  I’ve used a Bodybugg before and it’s hard to hide that armband and watch.  If I wore it to work with short sleeves, everyone would ask, “What’s that?”  With the ActiveLink, no one even knows I’m wearing it.

Knowing that my challenge had started, definitely made me think about getting up from my desk and walking around more often.  I work on the 4th floor, so instead of taking the elevator to lower floors, I would take the stairs.  Instead of filling my water bottle near my desk, I walked to a water fountain down the hall.  I also plan on leaving some shoes in my car, so I can walk during half of my lunch hour when the weather is nice.

I’m trying to upload my data for the day, but the Weight Watchers site appears to be down.

I had another good day as far as food is concerned.  The morning started off with a Chobani Pineapple yogurt along with some granola.

I didn’t take a picture but my morning snack was a Cutie (California Clementine).

Lunch was leftover Chicken and Broccoli Noodle Casserole.

Snack was a trusty banana –  despite the pies that were hanging out in the break room.

When I got home from work, I knew I just wanted to have something light for dinner since I planned to get on the treadmill.  I had some leftover Chicken Tortilla Soup.  I topped it with a little bit of Monterey Jack cheese, tortilla strips and sour cream.

After I ate, I got on our treadmill for the first time in a long time.  I watched most of the new Footloose movie while walking a little over 2 miles.

Doesn’t sound like a lot but it felt good to sweat again.

After a shower, I was still hungry, so I had a bowl of Corn Chex with unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

And I hit my water goal again.

I dvr’d Biggest Loser because we watched the National Championship, so I will have to watch it tonight.

Have  a great day!

Been thinking about the Active Link. I’m not very active and Ithought it might motivate me a little bit. I understand the concept but I’m wondering, does it also count your steps like a pedometer?

    Thanks!

It doesn’t count your steps but it does give you an hour by hour breakdown of your activity. I couldn’t get on the website last night but I’m hoping to post an example on tomorrow’s post. :)

Thanks! I’ll be looking for it tomorrow. I’m going back and forth. It’s a little bit of an investment if I’m not going to follow through with it. But it may be just the push I need……

I am also considering getting the ActiveLink! Does it have a clip on it? (PS I saw on twitter that the website and ActiveLink synching were having issues today!) And I just downloaded that very same water app a few days ago! I like how you can take a pic of certain glasses and how much they hold!
