I used to open my eyes around 8:00am on Saturday morning. My head would be pounding and my stomach was upset. I would get up to go to the bathroom and take some pain reliever and go right back to bed. The next few hours were spent trying desperately to fall asleep. Sometimes I could fall asleep and other times I would end up vomiting – repeatedly. I wouldn’t feel human until later that evening, if even then. Sometimes even the next day I wasn’t back to feeling like myself.
I don’t miss feeling like that. I don’t miss wasting an entire day or even weekend to have a “good time” on Friday night.
Last night, Dane and I went to a Daytona Cubs game. I didn’t have any beer (although they did look good) and I still had a good time. This morning I was up at 6:00am to have some coffee and eat something before Group Power. This feels much better.
