Good Morning! It’s Hump Day already! I received a lot of questions regarding my new low carb diet yesterday. I just want to make it clear that I’m aware this isn’t the only way to lose weight. I was ready to mix things up and after a suggestion from my doctor, I decided to give this a try. So far, it’s working great for me.
As soon as someone hears I’m following a low carb diet, they say, “Oh, there’s no way I could do that.” I honestly thought I would feel extremely deprived, too, but I don’t.
I weighed in first thing yesterday morning.
Down a total of 8.2 lbs. (I started at 176.2)
Breakfast was my usual frittata muffins along with 3 turkey sausage links.
After breakfast, I always take 2 gummy vitamins along with 2 fish oil pills.
My snacks were green olives
and turkey pepperoni.
Lunch was leftover chili again.
I had a hard boiled egg later in the afternoon but didn’t take a picture of it.
When I got home from work, my sister called to let me know our other sister and niece were over if I wanted to come visit. I haven’t seen either of them in awhile, so I went over for little while before dinner. My niece is getting so big! She’s walking and getting into everything, just like a 13 month old is supposed to. :)
Those cheeks…and the dimples. How do you say no to that? ;)
When I got home, we had fish tacos for dinner. No tortilla for me.
After dinner, I made a lower carb smoothie.
In the mix:
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 1/2 cups fresh spinach
1/4 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1 tbsp chia seeds
2 Stevia packets
I went to assume my position on the couch to type this post and found Wrigley quite comfy.
I’m going to Group Power class after work today! Looking forward to another great workout.
